The SIP CHARGESTAR D15 Digital Battery Charger (SKU 03506) is a compact, portable 12V unit designed for charging all types of 12V lead acid batteries across automotive and workshop environments. With a charging current range of 2A to 15A and a battery capacity range of 2Ah to 220Ah for charging — and up to 300Ah for maintenance — it is well suited to both regular battery maintenance and heavier workshop charging demands.
At the heart of the CHARGESTAR D15 is an intelligent microprocessor that governs a fully automatic 6-step charging cycle. The unit diagnoses battery condition and voltage before commencing a charge, halting automatically once full capacity is reached and illuminating the control panel indicator accordingly. A Boost – Fast Charge mode delivers five minutes of continuous 15A charge, and a built-in 12V DC socket functions as an external 7A power supply. The unit also features an LED display screen and an intuitive soft-touch control panel, while the compact, lightweight body with carry handle makes it straightforward to move between bays. Two 1.2-metre leads with clip clamps are supplied.
Compatibility extends across WET, MF, EFB, GEL and AGM lead acid battery types. The low voltage detector prevents charging where terminal voltage falls below 3V, protecting against attempts to recover an unrecoverable battery. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 40°C and the unit carries an IP20 protection rating. Input supply is 220V–240V 50–60Hz at 220W maximum, with a 10A input fuse. Built-in safety features include an anti-spark system at clip connection, reverse polarity protection, overcharge protection, and an overheat alarm that automatically resets once the unit has cooled.
The SIP CHARGESTAR D15 is backed by the SIP 2-Year Standard Silver Warranty. The unit is supplied with two 1.2-metre leads and clip clamps.
