The hexagonal form provides a positive grip surface along the blade shank, enabling a spanner to be applied for additional torque where needed. The handle is constructed with a soft grip, oil and solvent resistant overmould, ensuring secure handling when working with lubricants or cleaning agents. Integrated into the top of the handle is a toughened metal cap — the 'Pound Thru' feature — designed specifically to receive direct hammer blows and transfer that force straight through the blade to the fastener without compromising the handle structure.
