The Draper 64489 XP1000® VDE PZ/SL Type Screwdriver is built specifically for use with electrical screws on RCBs and MCBs within distribution and consumer units, where contact with live conductors is a constant risk. At the heart of the design is a patented dual-layer insulated sheath that makes any damage to the insulation highly visible, allowing the user to identify a compromised tool before putting it to work. Every screwdriver is individually tested to 10,000V and certified suitable for working on live circuits up to 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC. The SVCM steel blade is hardened, tempered and chemically blackened, with a precision-machined tip engineered for an exact fit that prevents screw damage. The ergonomic bi-material soft-grip handle supports two distinct modes of use: free spinning in the palm for rapid tightening, and firm torque transfer when a more controlled drive is required. Flat sides on the handle prevent the screwdriver from rolling on a work surface. The No.1 x 80mm PZ/SL combination tip is supplied as a single unit. Manufactured and individually certified to EN 60900, this screwdriver carries the XP1000® designation and meets the rigorous safety standards required for professional electrical installation work.
