The Draper 64419 XP1000® VDE Plain Slot Screwdriver addresses this with a patented dual-layer insulated sheath designed to make any damage highly visible, giving the user an immediate warning before risk escalates. Each screwdriver is individually tested to 10,000V and certified for use on live circuits of 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC, manufactured and individually certified to EN 60900. The SVCM steel blade is hardened, tempered and chemically blackened, with a precision-machined tip engineered for an exact fit to the slot — reducing the risk of screw damage during fastening. The ergonomic bi-material soft grip handle is designed to serve two functions: a free-spinning action in the palm allows rapid tightening of screws, whilst the handle geometry also permits full torque transfer when resistance increases. Flat sides on the handle prevent the tool from rolling on work surfaces. The plain slot blade measures 5.5 x 125mm, suited to standard slotted fastener applications in electrical installation and maintenance environments.
