The patented dual-layer insulated sheath makes any damage to the insulation highly visible, providing an immediate visual warning before a compromised tool is used on live equipment. Every screwdriver in the XP1000® range is individually tested to 10,000V and is suitable for working on live circuits of up to 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC. The tool is manufactured and individually certified to EN 60900, the recognised standard for hand tools used on live electrical installations. The ergonomic bi-material soft-grip handle is designed with flat sides to prevent rolling on work surfaces. The handle allows free spinning in the palm of the hand for rapid screw-tightening, whilst also permitting torque transfer when greater force is required. The SVCM steel blade is hardened, tempered, and chemically blackened, with a precision-machined tip that delivers an exact fit to the screw head to minimise cam-out and prevent screw damage. The 3 x 100mm blade dimensions suit a wide range of slotted fastener applications in electrical, maintenance, and workshop environments.
