The Draper XP1000® VDE Plain Slot Screwdriver in 2.5 x 75mm delivers expert-quality insulation performance through a patented dual-layer insulated sheath that makes any damage highly visible, giving the user an immediate warning before work begins. Each screwdriver is individually tested to 10,000V and certified suitable for use on live circuits of up to 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC, meeting the requirements of EN 60900 — the recognised standard for hand tools used on or near live electrical conductors. Manufacture and individual certification to EN 60900 are confirmed on each tool. The ergonomic bi-material soft-grip handle has been engineered to allow free spinning in the palm of the hand for rapid screw tightening, whilst still transferring the torque required for more demanding fastenings. Flat sides on the handle prevent the screwdriver from rolling on the bench — a practical detail that reduces the risk of the tool falling from elevated work surfaces. The SVCM steel blade is hardened, tempered and chemically blackened, with a precision-machined tip for an exact fit to the slot, helping prevent screw head damage during use.
