Impact work demands sockets built to absorb repeated high-torque loading without cracking or rounding fasteners. The Draper HI-TORQ® 6-point impact socket is forged from hardened chrome molybdenum steel, a material chosen specifically for its toughness and resistance to the shock loads generated by electric and pneumatic impact wrenches. The 6-point profile maximises contact with the fastener flat, reducing the risk of slip and fastener damage during high-torque applications. A black phosphate finish provides a degree of corrosion protection suited to workshop environments. The socket is designed for use with 3/4" square drive impact wrenches and is supplied complete with a retaining ring and pin to secure it to the drive. With an 18mm hex size and a drive specification of 3/4", this socket is well suited to heavy-duty automotive, commercial vehicle, and industrial fastening tasks where a standard chrome vanadium socket would be at risk of failure.
