This Draper electric tiller is designed to save considerable time and effort, making light work of cultivating soil across a range of garden and allotment settings. Six hard-wearing rotors manufactured from hardened steel penetrate to a working depth of 220mm — sufficient to break up compacted earth, introduce air into the soil, remove weeds and incorporate fertilisers, soil improvers or prepare ground for bulb planting. The adjustable blades enable the user to work in tight spaces such as flower beds. With the addition of the two outer rotors, the working width extends from 330mm up to 450mm, allowing the machine to adapt to the scale of the task. Safety is addressed through a two-handed safety switch that prevents accidental start-up, and an electronic brake that stops the motor and halts blade rotation the instant the trigger is released. The 1500W motor runs on a standard 230V/50Hz supply via a 10m cable. Rear wheels aid manoeuvrability across the plot, while fold-down handles allow compact storage in a shed or outbuilding.
