The shaft is steel-cored and plastic-coated combining the structural rigidity of a steel core with a weather-resistant outer surface that is comfortable to grip and resistant to the elements. The plastic Y-dee handle provides a firm two-handed grip point for controlled leverage during digging tasks. The combination of a hardened blade steel-cored shaft and Y-dee handle results in a tool designed for durability and practical day-to-day use in the garden or on site. Supplied as a single unit.
