Product Number: VS5140
Setting engine timing on VAG 1.0 petrol engines without the correct tooling risks costly damage to valves, pistons, and the engine as a whole. The Sealey VS5140 Petrol Engine Timing Tool Kit is designed specifically for the VAG 1.0 belt-drive engine family, giving technicians everything needed to lock camshafts and adjust the timing belt tensioner accurately and safely. The kit covers a wide range of VAG Group vehicles including Audi A1, A3, Q2 (2015-2018), Seat Arona, Ateca, Ibiza, Mii, Toledo, Skoda Citigo, Fabia III, Octavia III, and VW Caddy, Golf VII, Polo, Up!, and more spanning model years from 2011 to 2023 depending on application. Compatible engine codes include CHYA, CHYB, CPGA, CWVA, and CWVB. The kit includes camshaft holder tools to lock the camshafts securely during the timing procedure, plus the dedicated tool required to adjust the timing chain tensioner. OEM reference tools covered include VAG T10476, T10340, T10477, and T10499. Whether you are replacing a timing belt on a high-mileage Polo or carrying out engine work on an Ibiza, this kit provides the manufacturer-referenced tooling to complete the job correctly.
