Incorrect camshaft timing on VAG petrol engines can cause poor performance, misfires, or serious engine damage during a belt change. The Sealey VSE2357A Camshaft Setting Tool is designed to align the camshafts accurately on VAG 1.4 and 1.6 twin camshaft, belt drive, petrol engines introduced in 1997, ensuring the engine is timed correctly before and after belt replacement. Depending on the engine variant and sprocket position, either the complete tool or the pins alone may be required, giving flexibility across the range of supported applications. This tool replaces VAG OEM tools T10016 and T10074. Compatible vehicles include Audi A2 (00-06); Skoda Fabia, Fabia II, Octavia, Octavia II, Roomster; Seat Altea, Arosa, Ibiza/Cordoba, Inca, Leon, Toledo; and VW Beetle, Bora, Caddy/Caddy Maxi, Golf/Golf Estate, Golf Plus, Lupo, and Polo across a wide range of model years. Supported 1.4 engine codes include AFK, AHW, AKQ, APE, AQQ, ARR, AUA, AUB, AXP, BBY, BBZ, BCA, BKY, BUD, BXW, CGGA, CGGB, and CMAA.
