Replacing a timing belt on a VAG diesel engine means working across a broad range of crankshaft gear types, camshaft configurations and tensioner designs a single missing tool can halt the job entirely. The Sealey VSE5951 Diesel Engine Timing Tool Kit is a comprehensive solution covering engine timing and belt replacement on VAG 1.2-2.0D Pumpe Duse and 1.2, 1.6 and 2.0D Common Rail diesel engines, and extends to the same engines fitted in Ford, Galaxy, Dodge Caliber and Mitsubishi Grandis, Lancer and Outlander models. The kit contains crankshaft locking tools for both oval and round crank gears, camshaft locking pins and tensioner adjustment tools, giving technicians everything required to correctly lock and set engine timing without improvisation. A warning tag is included to attach to the steering wheel during the procedure, and the entire kit is supplied in a dedicated storage case to keep all components together between jobs. Compatible vehicles span Audi A1 through Q5, Seat Ibiza through Alhambra, Skoda Fabia through Superb, and VW Polo through Transporter across model years from 1998 to 2019, covering a wide range of engine codes including the full TDi PD and Common Rail Di-D/CRD families.
