Removing or refitting the crankshaft pulley centre bolt on 1.0 and 1.2 belt-drive engines requires a method of counter-holding the crankshaft pulley firmly while the correct torque is applied without this, the engine turns freely and the bolt cannot be released or tightened correctly. The Sealey VSE5093 crankshaft holding tool is designed specifically to counter-hold the crankshaft pulley for this task on 1.0 VTi and 1.2 VTi, PureTech THP, and PureTech VTi engines fitted to a wide range of Citroen, Peugeot, Toyota, and Vauxhall vehicles.
