Achieving accurate and layout work demands a reliable square that reads both metric and imperial without ambiguity. The Draper 34703 Metric and Imperial Combination Square addresses this by combining a matt black metal stock with polished faces with a stainless steel blade graduated on both sides — metric along one edge and imperial along the other — so the correct scale is always visible regardless of orientation. The centimetre metric graduations carry 1 mm divisions on both sides of the blade, while the imperial graduations offer 1/16" divisions on one side and finer 1/32" divisions on the reverse, giving the user a choice of precision to suit the task. The stock is fitted with a brass adjusting screw that locks the blade securely at any position along its 300 mm length, a built-in spirit level for referencing horizontal surfaces, a scriber for marking directly from the rule. The 300 mm blade length makes this combination square well suited to bench joinery, metalworking layout and general workshop marking-out where a compact yet full-featured instrument is required. The product is supplied display packed and is ready for immediate workshop use.
