The device incorporates a built-in silicon photo-diode light sensor fitted with a spectral response filter and protective cap, enabling consistent and repeatable illuminance readings across its measurement range of 0 to 200,000 lux, alongside temperature measurement from -20 to +70°C. Readings are presented on a backlit LCD dual display, allowing clear visibility in both bright and low-light working environments. A data update rate of 500 ms ensures rapid response, while the data hold function lets the user freeze a reading for convenient recording. The min/max function captures peak and lowest values during a measurement session without the need for continuous manual monitoring. Auto power off preserves battery life, and a dedicated low battery indicator alerts the user before charge is depleted. The ergonomic, pocket-sized form factor makes the meter highly portable, suitable for use across workshop, site, and field environments. Operating time is up to 60 hours on three 1.5 V AAA batteries (sold separately). The unit weighs 141.5 g with batteries installed. Each pack contains one Handheld Digital Light Level Meter.
