Paper width has to cover what is being masked in one pass. Masking a panel edge with a narrow paper means overlapping strips and a join that paint finds. The widths here run 300mm, 450mm and 900mm, and the widest covers a full door or screen. Masking well is also faster than correcting overspray afterwards.
Dispenser form decides where the masking happens. A floor standing or wall mounted dispenser suits a fixed bay where the vehicle comes to it. A trolley dispenser goes to the vehicle, which matters where masking is done in the booth rather than beside it. Wall mounting also frees floor space in a booth where every metre is being worked in.
A tree dispenser carries more than one width at once, at 2 x 300mm and 2 x 450mm, so a change of width means moving along the frame rather than reloading. That is the difference on a job with several panel sizes. A 900mm trolley dispenser covers a screen or a full door without joining paper at all.
Solvent handling is the other half of preparation. Plunger cans at 1 litre and 19 litres dispense without opening a container each time, and keeping solvents separated stops one contaminating another.
