The SIP MEDUSA T5500 Silenced Diesel Generator (25153) is a mobile power supply solution delivering both 230v and 110v outputs at 5.5kVA / 5.5kW peak, designed for workshops, general construction, mobile hospitality and use as a secondary power source. It is equally suited to powering machinery, tools and lighting across demanding site environments.
At the heart of the MEDUSA T5500 is a EURO V 0.5-litre single-cylinder diesel engine started via key ignition electric start and paired with a single-phase AC alternator featuring an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR), which ensures stable power output suitable for electrostatic-sensitive devices. The generator is housed within a heavy-duty powder-coated metal cabinet that provides both soundproofing and protection against chips and surface damage. Fitted with rough-terrain wheels, the unit offers genuine site portability across damp, coarse and uneven surfaces.
The T5500 provides a continuous output of 5kVA / 5kW, with AC outputs of 1x 230v at 5kW and 1x 110v at 3.5kW, plus a 12v / 6A DC output. The 16-litre fuel tank delivers a runtime of 7.5 hours at 100% load and 15 hours at 50% load. A 12v 36Ah battery is supplied for the electric start system. A dual-purpose digital display indicates voltage in use and overall runtime to assist monitoring. Circuit-breaker overload protection enhances operational safety. The unit carries a Protection Class of IP23M and a measured Sound Power (LwA) of 97dB(A), with net and gross weights of 155kg and 172kg respectively and product dimensions of 795(H) x 930(W) x 690mm(D).
