Standing 750mm tall and weighing 32kg, this 5-speed bench pillar drill runs on a 220W motor with 370W input power, covering a speed range of 460-2890rpm to handle a variety of materials and drill bit sizes. The 16mm (5/8") capacity chuck is fitted with an MT2 Morse taper spindle nose, meaning the GDM50B like all models from GDM50B upward in the Sealey range accepts taper shank drill bits for extended versatility. The rack and pinion feed shaft includes preset depth control for consistent, repeatable results across production runs. The 60mm column diameter and 127mm spindle centre-to-column measurement keep the footprint manageable, with a base size of 345 x 215mm. Spindle travel is 60mm, maximum spindle-to-table distance is 300mm, and spindle-to-base is 450mm. Safety features include a no-voltage release switch allowing insurance company approval for use in educational establishments and mechanical guarding that prevents access to the drive belts during operation. A mortise attachment is available separately as Model No. MA10. An optional keyless chuck upgrade is also available as GDMX/KC.
