Achieving a smooth, consistent finish on bodywork or fabricated panels is difficult when your sander lacks speed range or leaves swirl marks in the surface. The Sealey DAS149 is a 600W, 230V dual action random orbital sander and polisher with a 150mm pad and a dual action orbit of 8mm, which helps cover more surface area during each pass and reduces the risk of localised marks. Variable speed control runs from 1500 to 6800rpm, giving you the flexibility to work across different materials and stages of finishing. A soft start prevents the pad from lurching on contact, and a slide on/off switch on top keeps operation straightforward. The soft grip body keeps the tool comfortable during extended use, and a 1.9m mains cable provides working freedom. The DAS149 is also suitable for polishing when fitted with the optional PTC115VA516 Hook-and-Loop Backing Pad, which is not included. The standard hook-and-loop pad takes 145mm DA pads with a 5/16"UNF thread. Replacement carbon brushes are available under part number DAS149.04.
