The Draper 8930 Forstner Drill Bit Set provides exactly that, making it particularly well suited to installing the concealed hinges found on most domestic cabinets. Each bit is manufactured from hardened and tempered tungsten carbide and features twin cutting edges combined with quad spurs. This geometry accelerates waste removal while producing clean, precise cuts with a quad-point tip. All 17 bits are compatible with drills fitted with either a standard 10 mm or 13 mm chuck. The set spans 17 diameters from 15 mm to 40 mm — 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 28, 30, 32, 35 and 40 mm — covering the range most commonly required for hinge installation and blind-hole boring. Bits sized 15–25 mm use a 7 mm round shank; bits sized 26–40 mm use an 8 mm round shank. Cutting depth across the range is 50 mm. Overall length is 77 mm for the 15–28 mm sizes and 80 mm for the 30–40 mm sizes. Total set weight is 1.241 kg. The complete 17-piece set is supplied in a wooden storage box, keeping all bits organised and protected between uses.
