In metal fabrication and workshop environments, inconsistent belt friction and inadequate power are the two most common causes of poor linishing results and premature belt wear. The Sealey SM100 addresses both with a robust 1500W 230V motor offering IP54 protection against dust and water ingress, and a graphite plate on the platen that actively reduces belt friction for a smoother, more consistent finish. The belt measures 100 x 1220mm and runs at 19m/s, with a no-load speed of 2840rpm and a flat grinding surface of 100 x 280mm. The machine is built for everyday use in metal and fabrication workshops and is supplied with a high quality abrasive belt. A no-volt release switch is fitted to aid safe operation, and the machine can be bench or floor mounted a stand is supplied. Replacement abrasive belts are available in 80 grit (SB0012) and 100 grit (SB0013).
