The WAI 18647N is a brand-new 12-volt Mitsuba PMDD starter motor. It is supplied as a direct replacement for Remy RS41242 and Polaris 3088069 original-equipment units. Built to Mitsuba's permanent-magnet direct-drive specification, it is engineered to deliver reliable cranking performance in the applications for which those OE numbers were issued.
The PMDD design eliminates the field-wound stator in favour of permanent magnets, reducing internal resistance and improving starting torque consistency across the operating temperature range. Clockwise rotation matches the OE drive engagement direction, ensuring correct pinion mesh without modification.
