The WAI 18641N is a brand-new 12V Mitsuba PMDD starter motor. It is supplied as a direct replacement for Remy and Polaris original-equipment units. Carrying Remy reference RS41223 and Polaris reference 3086240, it is designed to slot in where a genuine Mitsuba permanent-magnet direct-drive starter has failed, restoring reliable engine cranking without the compromise of a remanufactured unit.
The PMDD (permanent-magnet direct-drive) design eliminates the conventional field windings found in older starter architectures, delivering a compact, lightweight assembly that draws less current at start-up and generates less heat under repeated cranking loads. Clockwise output rotation matches the engagement geometry of the original Mitsuba unit, so no shimming or spacer adjustment is required on installation.
Operating at 12 volts, the motor is fully suited to standard single-battery electrical systems. Being brand new rather than remanufactured means all internal components — armature, brushes, solenoid, and drive — are at full service life from the moment of fitment.
