It is built to the Motorola IR/EF specification, replacing original-equipment units from Remy, Prestolite, Thermo King, and Carrier Transicold across a range of refrigeration transport applications. It is engineered to restore reliable charging to the systems it serves, supplied without pulley so the original can be reused.
Constructed as a direct alternative to Remy 93080 and 93088, and Prestolite references 110-600 and 110600, the 8428N also cross-references to Motorola 8MR2180L, 8MR2181L, and 8MR2185L, as well as Thermo King and Carrier OE numbers — 21 cross-references in total.
