Product Number: 28033008
The Highway Automotive 28033008 is a replacement EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) cooler designed to restore the exhaust gas recirculation system to correct operating condition on Mercedes heavy-duty commercial vehicles. This unit is a direct-fit replacement for the Actros MP4/MP5, Antos, and Arocs — all equipped with the OM473 engine — covering three verified applications in total. The EGR cooler plays a critical role in managing exhaust emissions and combustion temperatures by cooling recirculated exhaust gases before they re-enter the intake manifold. A failed or leaking EGR cooler can lead to elevated coolant consumption, white exhaust smoke, and engine overheating, making timely replacement essential for maintaining vehicle reliability and emissions compliance. With a gross weight of 17 kg and package dimensions of 870 × 160 × 240 mm, this is a substantial, workshop-ready component built to match the demands of the OM473 powerplant found across the Mercedes Actros MP4/MP5, Antos, and Arocs model ranges. Its dimensions are consistent with the factory-specification unit it replaces. This product is supplied as a standalone replacement part. Buyers are advised to confirm fitment against their vehicle's specific engine variant using the selection widget or by searching our cross-referenced catalogue. Every fitment shown is backed by the PartsForMachines Fit Guarantee.
