Product Number: EGR-044
The EGR-044 is an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve designed as a direct replacement for a broad range of diesel-engined passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. Covering 65 vehicle applications across five manufacturers - Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Ford, and Skoda - this unit is suited to workshops handling high volumes of VAG-group and Ford TDI engine management work, with applications spanning the 2000 to 2011 model year range.
The EGR valve regulates the recirculation of exhaust gases back into the engine intake, a process central to controlling combustion temperatures and reducing nitrogen oxide emissions. A faulty or sticking EGR valve is a common cause of rough idling, increased fuel consumption, loss of power, and emissions test failures, making correct replacement with a well-matched unit essential for restoring engine management system performance.
With 44 OE cross references on record, EGR-044 aligns with original equipment part numbers from Audi, Seat, Skoda, Ford, and a wide range of aftermarket suppliers including Pierburg (7.24809.20.0), Hella (6NU 010 171-211), Elstock (71-0021), Fuel Parts (EGR088), Lucas (FDR163), Quinton Hazell (XEGR21), Meat & Doria (88069), and Hoffer (7518069), among others. Confirmed fitment includes the Audi A4 (8E2, B6) 1.9 TDI in standard, Quattro, and Avant body configurations with AVF and AWX engine codes, covering the November 2000 to December 2004 production window. Full application data covering all 65 fitments is available on the product listing.
Supplied as a single replacement EGR valve unit ready for installation.
