It fixes to the structure through its mounting holes and presents the pin stud for the strut's end fitting, locating the strut at the correct angle and centre; bolt it down first, then locate the strut on the stud. It mounts gas struts with a 6, 8 & 10mm rod and accepts eye fittings E1-E13. Its straight, stud-up form bolts to a flat face and presents the stud upright for the strut. It is one of a range of mounting brackets that give a gas strut a fixing point on a frame or panel, and the right one matches the pin stud to the chosen fitting while sitting at the angle the layout needs. Typical applications include storage-box lids, machine guards, fold-down benches, worktop flaps, where the strut meets a flat face or an edge. Fit one bracket at each end of every strut, and use the opposite-hand version where the second mounting faces the other way.
