A worn or mismatched hose tailpiece can cause air leaks and unreliable connections throughout a compressed-air system. The PCL HC5276/5194 is a coned tailpiece fitting for 7.9 mm (5/16 in) internal-diameter hose, supplied complete with a union nut in Rp 1/4 thread, and presented in display packaging for point-of-sale or workshop-counter use.
Constructed from hardened steel with a corrosion-resistant plating, the HC5276/5194 is built for long service life in workshop environments where moisture and repeated handling are routine. The swivel-nut and hose-tail combination design allows the nut to rotate freely during tightening, reducing the risk of hose twist and making installation straightforward on bench or in-situ.
The Rp 1/4 parallel female thread mates with standard BSP-compatible ports and fittings. The coned seat creates a reliable, leak-resistant joint when correctly assembled with the 7.9 mm bore hose for which the tailpiece is rated. PCL manufacture compressed-air fittings in Sheffield and have done so since 1938, operating as part of HORNGROUP.
