An air hose that cannot handle oils, solvents or outdoor conditions creates downtime and early replacement costs. The PCL HA2142 is a 15-metre air hose assembly fitted with XF-Euro Coupling and Adaptor ends, built for compressed-air lines in professional workshop and industrial environments. The hose is manufactured from a high-performance TPE compound — it handles like rubber but without rubber's associated disadvantages. The PVC Nitrile blend delivers excellent abrasion resistance and ageing resistance superior to rubber, combined with good flexibility and kink resistance. The compound is silicone and cadmium free, and PCL describe it as a universal performer suitable for conveying many chemicals, solvents, fuels, oils, greases, compressed air and water. Reduced plasticiser migration and excellent UV and Ozone resistance extend service life in demanding environments. The assembly is rated to a maximum working pressure of 21 bar / 300 psi with a burst pressure of 63 bar / 900 psi (3:1 safety factor), and operates across a temperature range of -15°C to 60°C. Inside diameter is 10 mm / 3/8 in and outside diameter is 17 mm. The hose meets BS EN ISO 5774 (textile reinforcement types for compressed-air applications) and is RoHS 3 compliant. The XF Coupling and Adaptor ends are factory-fitted, eliminating the need for on-site crimping equipment. PCL manufacture from Sheffield, UK, and have done so since 1938, as part of HORNGROUP.
