A worn or incompatible air hose restricts flow and interrupts workshop productivity. The PCL HA2044 is a 10-metre air hose assembly with a 10 mm (3/8") internal diameter and Rp 1/4 swivel end fittings, supplied ready for immediate installation without the need for specialist crimping equipment. The hose is constructed from a high-performance TPE compound that gives the handling qualities of rubber whilst offering measurable advantages over it. The material provides good flexibility and kink resistance, resistance to oil and fuels, and excellent resistance to UV and ozone. The PVC nitrile blend delivers superior abrasion and ageing resistance compared to rubber, and the formulation is silicone and cadmium free with reduced plasticiser migration — relevant where chemical contamination is a concern. The assembly is rated to a maximum working pressure of 21 bar (300 psi) and a burst pressure of 63 bar (900 psi), representing a 3:1 safety factor. Operating temperature range is -15°C to 60°C. The hose has a 17 mm outer diameter and complies with BS EN ISO 5774 (textile-reinforced plastic hose for compressed-air applications) and is RoHS3 conformant. It is suitable for conveying compressed air, water, many chemicals, solvents, fuels, oils, and greases, making it a genuinely versatile workshop hose. PCL manufacture from Sheffield, UK, and have done so since 1938, as part of HORNGROUP.
