Variations
Air hose assemblies that do not match the original fitting size or hose diameter cause pressure drop and connection failures. The PCL HA2012 is a pre-made hose assembly comprising 5 metres of 8 mm (5/16 in) internal-diameter hose fitted with Rp 1/4 swivel ends at both terminals, supplied ready to connect without the need for crimping equipment.
The hose is constructed from a high-performance TPE compound that replicates the handling characteristics of rubber whilst avoiding its associated shortcomings. The swivel-end configuration allows the assembly to be connected and disconnected without the hose twisting under load, maintaining consistent airflow across the full 5 m length.
Available in popular cut lengths complete with swivel fittings, the HA2012 saves installation time and removes the requirement for specialist crimping tooling. The Rp 1/4 thread standard ensures compatibility with widely used workshop airline connections. PCL manufacture from their Sheffield facility, established in 1938, and the HA2012 forms part of the HORNGROUP product range.
