Routing a hose or loom is only half the job; keeping it fixed, cushioned and off sharp edges is the other half.
JCS describes its P-clips as suited to the most challenging environments, and the PCSR5BG carries that specification at 5mm closed diameter: a standard TPE liner rated -30C to +60C, UV and ozone resistant, wrapped in a ribbed band that bolts flush through a 6.6mm M6 fixing hole. Fixings are not supplied - pair it with your standard M6 hardware.
The band is 18/8 marine-quality 304 stainless steel (EN 1.4301, BS304), the right specification for outdoor, wet and corrosive environments - and because JCS makes the zinc and stainless versions to identical dimensions, you can switch material without changing your mounting. The standard liner's -30C to +60C rating covers general routing duty; where temperatures climb higher, the dimensionally identical high-temperature version takes over.
Also available - the high-temperature liner version (PCSH5BG); the zinc plated version (PCZR5BG); the 6mm size (PCSR6BG).
Non-standard sizes and liners are available from JCS on request - this catalogue size is the stocked, off-the-shelf format.

A. It does two jobs: cushioning the line against vibration and stopping the band chafing what it holds. The standard TPE liner is UV and ozone resistant, rated -30C to +60C.
A. Pick by environment, not fit: 304 stainless for outdoor, wet or corrosive runs, zinc plated (coated even on the cut edges) for general indoor and light industrial work. The two are dimensionally identical, so the mounting never changes.
A. The liner is UV and ozone resistant, so sunlight does not degrade it, and the band comes in zinc plated or 304 stainless for outdoor duty - stainless where it stays wet. Size the clip to the outside diameter of the tube or pipe being fixed.
A. Yes - the design brief covers pipes, hoses and cables alike. The liner cushions the sheath against chafe and vibration, which matters as much on an armoured cable or air line as on a coolant hose. Size by outside diameter.
A. A hose clip makes a joint seal; a P-clip makes a run stay put. If the problem is a leak at a fitting, you want a hose clip - if the problem is a line that moves, chafes or rattles, you want this.
