Worm drive clips seal by drawing the band evenly through a captive screw housing, and the HGZ12BP adds the JCS details that make that reliable - a 9.5-12mm adjustment span, a cold-headed, work-hardened hex screw with rolled threads that will not round off, and fully rounded band edges. Recommended tightening torque for this size is 3.0 Nm (26 lb-in). Manufactured to exceed BS5315, Kitemarked and NATO approved.
The bulk pack of 15 is the stores format for fleets, production and hire equipment running the same size across many machines. The clip itself is unchanged: heavily electro zinc plated and passivated mild steel, EN9227 tested, plated after cutting so even the band's cut edges are coated - for domestic, automotive and industrial duty in non-corrosive conditions.
Also available - the same clip as a retail carton (HGZ12RP); the same clip as a 5-pack (HGZ12PM1); the 11-16mm size (HGZ16BP); a 304 stainless version in the same size and pack (HGS12BP).

A. It adjusts between 9.5-12mm. Measure the outside diameter of your hose when fitted over its pipe or fitting - if that measurement falls within 9.5-12mm, this clip fits. JCS clips offer a larger adjustment range per size than typical nut-and-bolt clamps. In imperial terms that is roughly 3/8 to 1/2 in, covering common 3/8 in hose sizes.
A. For this size band JCS publishes a recommended torque of 3.0 Nm (26 lb-in). Work up to it gradually with the clip seated centrally on the barb; going past it risks damaging the hose rather than improving the seal.
A. The band is heavily electro zinc plated and passivated, tested to EN9227, and JCS plates the steel after cutting so the cut edges are coated too. It is intended for non-corrosive environments such as domestic and light industrial use - for wet, salty or chemical-exposed duty choose the Hi-Grip Stainless version.
A. No - JCS itself cautions that zinc-coated clamps can quickly corrode or seize around salt water. The marine specification is Hi-Grip Stainless: 18/8 304 stainless throughout, with Lloyd's Register Type Approval.
