Few parts cost less or matter more than the clip sealing a hose to its fitting - when it slips, everything it feeds stops.
The HGZ60BG is a Hi-Grip worm drive clip adjusting between 45-60mm. Its band edges are fully rounded to protect the hose, and the hex screw is cold-headed and work-hardened with rolled threads, so it resists slipping or rounding under the driver. Tighten incrementally to the recommended 6.0 Nm (54 lb-in); over-tightening is what damages hoses. The range is manufactured to exceed BS5315 and carries the BSI Kitemark and NATO approval.
This 5-pack format is the trade quantity - workshop stores, service vans and maintenance teams fitting the same sizes repeatedly. The specification is unchanged: heavily electro zinc plated and passivated mild steel tested to EN9227, plated after cutting so the band edges are coated, intended for non-corrosive domestic, automotive and industrial duty.
Also available - the same clip as a retail carton (HGZ60RP); the same clip as a bulk pack (HGZ60BP); the 40-55mm size (HGZ55BG); the 50-70mm size (HGZ70BG).

A. This size spans 45-60mm of fitted hose outside diameter. Measure the hose over its fitting, not the bare bore - anywhere inside 45-60mm and the HGZ60BG is the right clip. One JCS size covers a span that would take two fixed nut-and-bolt clamps. In imperial terms that is roughly 1 3/4 to 2 3/8 in, covering common 2 in hose sizes.
A. For this size band JCS publishes a recommended torque of 6.0 Nm (54 lb-in). Work up to it gradually with the clip seated centrally on the barb; going past it risks damaging the hose rather than improving the seal.
A. JCS electro zinc plates and passivates the mild steel band after it is cut to size, so even the cut edges carry coating - and the finish is tested to EN9227. That suits dry and general duty; once salt or standing moisture is involved, the stainless range is the correct specification.
