Corroded or dirty wheel hubs can prevent proper wheel seating, leading to uneven clamping and potential safety issues when refitting wheels. The Sealey VS8001 Hub Cleaner is designed to remove surface dirt and corrosion from studless wheel hubs those that use wheel bolts rather than wheel studs and can also be used to prepare hubs, wheels and brake discs for reassembly. The tool accepts a 150mm diameter abrasive cleaning disc with a 90mm centre bore and is designed for use with a 1/2"Sq Drive adaptor and a compatible power tool at a maximum speed of 1500 rpm. One abrasive cleaning disc is supplied with the VS8001. Replacement discs are available separately under Sealey model number VS8001A.
