The Draper 70274 Roller/Bearing Stand addresses this directly, providing a robust telescopic support station purpose-built for these applications. The stand head is interchangeable between roller and bearing configurations. In roller mode it guides workpieces smoothly along their feed direction; switching to the eight-bearing head allows additional lateral movement of sheet material giving greater flexibility when manoeuvring panels or boards. Height adjustment is achieved via an easy-adjust quick-release lock handle enabling instant repositioning across the 700–1100mm support range without tools. The roller measures 300 x 48mm and the stand features a wide base specifically designed to increase stability under load. Maximum load capacity is 60kg (evenly distributed) at the minimum height of 700mm reducing to 30kg at the maximum extension of 1100mm. The unit weighs 5kg making it manageable to position and reposition around the workshop as required. Supplied as a single roller/bearing stand the Draper 70274 is a practical addition to any workshop handling long timber sections or sheet goods with bandsaws planer/thicknessers or comparable stationary machinery.
