Professional welders face the challenge of switching between processes and gas setups on demanding jobs. The Draper 70047 addresses this directly as a highly versatile, compact multi-function welder capable of MIG, MAG, fluxed cored, MMA and TIG-Lift processes, and operable as either a gas or gasless welder from a single 230V supply. At the heart of the machine is IGBT inverter technology optimised for improved productivity and synergic operation. A synergic wire feed system automatically coordinates wire feed speed with other parameters while one-touch setting and a clear digital display make configuration immediate and straightforward. The DTi (Digital Technology interface) delivers superior performance and precision control and minimal splatter is cited as a direct result of this optimised process management. The amperage range runs from 20 to 160A with a duty cycle of 60% at 160A and 100% at 120A making it suitable for sustained workshop use. Electrode sizes from 1.6 to 4.0mm are supported and the machine accepts welding wire spools of 1kg and 5kg. Connection is via a Euro Torch Connector with Dinse type coupling (10/25) and the unit is compatible with a regular gas bottle for shielded MIG/MAG work. Supplied as a complete ready-to-weld kit including a MIG torch 3m cable 200A electrode holder 200A earth clamp 2m gas hose two 0.8mm contact tips a chipping hammer/wire brush and a face mask. The unit measures 420 x 205 x 300mm and weighs 12kg with a carry handle for portability between workstations. Note: a 16A plug is required and is not supplied.
