A knurled grip ring is machined onto each bar, providing positive hand purchase when fitting and removing sockets, even in oily workshop conditions. Sockets are retained securely by a spring-loaded ball bearing at the drive end, preventing unintended detachment during use. The set is manufactured and tested generally in accordance with DIN 3122 and ISO 3315 specifications, reflecting the engineering standard applied to the Expert range. The four bars cover a practical spread of lengths — 50 mm, 125 mm, 250 mm and 500 mm — allowing the user to select the correct reach for each task without improvising with stacked extensions. The 1/2" square drive is compatible with the standard 1/2" drive socket range.
