The Draper Expert TX-STAR® Socket Bit for 1/2" square drive meets that need with a two-material construction: a hardened and tempered chrome vanadium steel socket body paired with a sand-blasted S2 silicon steel insert bit. The S2 silicon steel bit provides the hardness and toughness required to resist cam-out under high-load conditions, while the chrome vanadium steel socket delivers the structural strength needed for 1/2" drive torque application. The T50 profile and 100 mm overall length make this bit socket suited to recessed or deep-set fasteners where a standard shallow socket or screwdriver-type bit would not reach. A knurled ring around the socket body gives the user a positive manual grip when seating or removing the socket from the drive, improving control in workshop conditions. Supplied as a single unit — one Draper TX-STAR® Socket Bit, 1/2" Sq. Dr., T50 x 100mm — this is an Expert Quality tool from Draper's TX-STAR® range.
