Manufactured from chrome vanadium steel that has been hardened, tempered, chrome plated, and polished, the socket delivers corrosion resistance alongside the mechanical strength required for demanding torque applications. The 6-point contact geometry distributes load evenly across the flats of a fastener, reducing the risk of rounding on seized or corroded fixings. A knurled ring is machined around the body to provide a positive grip when positioning or removing the socket by hand. The socket is manufactured and tested generally in accordance with DIN 3124 and ISO 2725-1 specifications, providing a recognised standard of dimensional accuracy and performance.
