The Draper Expert 6 Point Metric Deep Socket, 3/8" Square Drive, 17mm is engineered to meet that requirement in professional workshop environments. The socket is manufactured from chrome vanadium steel that has been hardened and tempered, providing the strength and toughness required for demanding fastener removal and installation tasks. A micro satin chrome finish is applied for corrosion protection, keeping the socket resistant to workshop moisture and chemical exposure. The 6 point contact geometry distributes load evenly across the flats of a fastener, reducing the risk of rounding during high-torque applications. A knurled ring is incorporated around the socket body, giving the user a positive, non-slip grip when positioning or retrieving the socket by hand in confined spaces.
