Achieving correct torque in confined or off-axis locations is a common workshop challenge. The Draper Expert 16742 Satin Chrome Wobble Extension Bar, 3/8" Square Drive, 45mm addresses this directly with a machined wobble end that allows the socket to be driven at up to 15° to the vertical, giving access to fasteners that a straight extension bar cannot reach without adjustment. Manufactured from chrome vanadium steel, the bar is hardened and tempered throughout, then finished with a micro satin chrome surface that resists corrosion and reduces glare in the workshop. A knurled ring is machined into the body to provide positive grip when fitting or removing the bar with oily or gloved hands. Socket retention is handled by a spring-loaded ball bearing, which holds the socket securely during use and prevents it from dropping into the work area. The bar is manufactured and tested generally in accordance with DIN 3122 and ISO 3315 specifications, providing a recognised benchmark for dimensional accuracy and strength in a 3/8" drive wobble extension.
