The Draper HI-TORQ® deep impact socket addresses this demand through its construction from hardened chrome molybdenum steel, forged to resist the high-torque stresses that would crack or deform conventional chrome vanadium sockets. The 6-point drive profile engages fastener flats cleanly, reducing the risk of rounding under load. A black phosphate surface finish is applied to provide corrosion protection, which is particularly relevant in workshop environments where sockets are frequently exposed to oils, coolants and moisture. The deep profile of the socket allows engagement with longer bolt protrusions or recessed fastener heads that a standard-depth socket cannot reach. Designed for use with 3/4" square drive impact wrenches, the socket is supplied complete with ring and pin for secure retention on the drive tool.
