The 6-point profile maximises contact with the fastener flat, reducing the risk of slip and fastener damage during high-torque applications. A black phosphate finish provides a degree of corrosion protection suited to workshop environments. The socket is designed for use with 3/4" square drive impact wrenches and is supplied complete with a retaining ring and pin to secure it to the drive. With an 18mm hex size and a drive specification of 3/4", this socket is well suited to heavy-duty automotive, commercial vehicle, and industrial fastening tasks where a standard chrome vanadium socket would be at risk of failure.
