The Draper 16429 is a 1/2" square drive reversible ratchet, forged from chrome vanadium steel that has been hardened, tempered, and finished to a satin chrome plate, giving the tool durability and resistance to workshop conditions. The 72-tooth mechanism provides a finer swing arc between engagements, allowing the ratchet to operate in tighter spaces where a full handle sweep is not possible. Direction is changed via a lever-operated forward/reverse selector, while the quick release mechanism enables fast, single-handed socket changes. A spring-loaded ball bearing retains the socket firmly in the drive, reducing the risk of the socket dropping during use. The soft grip handle is designed to reduce hand fatigue during prolonged application. The tool is manufactured and tested generally in accordance with DIN 3122 and ISO 3315 specifications.
