The Draper Expert 6 point metric socket in 27mm is manufactured from chrome vanadium steel that has been hardened and tempered, giving the socket the strength to resist rounding and deformation during high-torque applications. The six-point profile concentrates drive force evenly across the flats of a fastener rather than its corners, reducing the risk of rounding off bolt heads and nuts. A micro satin chrome finish provides corrosion protection, keeping the socket serviceable in workshop environments where moisture and cutting fluids are present. A knurled ring is incorporated into the body to aid positive grip when fitting or removing the socket by hand. The socket accepts a 1/2 inch square drive and is sized at 27mm across the fastener flats. It is manufactured and tested generally in accordance with DIN 3124 and ISO 2725-1 specifications, confirming dimensional and performance compliance with recognised international standards.
