The micro satin finish provides corrosion protection, while a knurled ring around the body offers enhanced grip when fitting or removing the socket from a drive tool or extension bar. The 6 point contact geometry reduces the risk of rounding fastener heads compared with 12 point designs, making it well suited to high-torque applications. Manufactured and tested generally in accordance with DIN 3124 and ISO 2725-1 specifications, the socket meets recognised standards for dimensional accuracy and performance. A single 6 point imperial socket with a 1/2 inch square drive in the 5/8 inch size is supplied.
