The deep profile accommodates fasteners with protruding threads or recessed fixings that a standard-depth socket cannot reach, making this socket well suited to commercial vehicle, agricultural, and industrial applications where large-diameter fixings are commonplace. The 6-point geometry maximises contact across the flat faces of the fastener, reducing the risk of rounding under high-torque conditions. A black phosphate finish is applied to the outer surface to provide corrosion protection against moisture and workshop fluids. The socket is designed for use with a 1-inch square drive impact wrench and is supplied complete with a retaining ring and pin to secure it safely on the drive anvil during use.
