Manufactured from chrome vanadium steel that has been hardened, tempered, and finished with a polished chrome plate, the socket is built to withstand the torque and repetitive use that workshop environments demand. The 6-point geometry provides a positive, close-fitting engagement with the spark plug hex, reducing the risk of rounding. The socket measures 65mm in length — a depth suited to reaching plugs recessed within cylinder head wells — and carries a 21mm hex size to suit 14mm thread spark plugs. Drive size is 1/2" square, compatible with standard 1/2" drive ratchets, extensions, and torque wrenches. A knurled ring on the socket body provides extra grip when turning by hand, which is useful when starting a plug into its thread or breaking the initial resistance on removal.
