The Draper Expert 89765 Lambda/Oxygen Sensor Socket Set is engineered specifically for the removal, inspection, and replacement of heated and non-heated oxygen sensors fitted to vehicles from Audi, BMW, Citroën, Mercedes, Peugeot, Renault, Skoda, GM (Vauxhall/Opel), and Volkswagen. Cut-away sections on certain sockets within the set allow them to fit over wiring harnesses, avoiding the need to disconnect sensor wiring before the socket is seated. The sockets carry a black phosphate finish for corrosion protection, important given the harsh under-vehicle environment in which oxygen sensors operate. The seven-piece set spans both 3/8" and 1/2" square drive and includes deep sockets with long grooves of varying widths, offset square drive sockets for angled access, a deep socket with a large side viewing window, and both standard and metric sizing. Key pieces include a 3/8" Sq. Dr. deep socket with a 7.7mm wide long groove at 80mm length, a 3/8" Sq. Dr. offset socket with an 8.6mm full-length groove, a 1/2" Sq. Dr. offset deep socket at 22 x 49.5mm with an 11mm full-length groove, and a 1/2" Sq. Dr. deep socket with an 8.2mm wide long groove at 90mm. The set is supplied in a sturdy blow-moulded plastic storage and carry case, keeping all seven pieces organised and protected between uses.
